Part of the reason I liked call of duty back in the day was because everything from the multiplayer to the zombies was all based around what the campaign and the theme of that campaign was. The campaign was essentially the game back then. Cod 4 was based in the middle east , World at war was ww2 and had areas in Japan or Asia as well as Europe. Black ops was not just the Vietnam War but the Cold War. So, it set the tone for the rest of the game. And the campaigns were actually really good. Even Black ops 2 had missions in the 1980s. Most of the modern call of duty's aren't even based in real wars that's based in reality. So the maps don't always feel inspired or they feel sort of cartoony. I remember just playing on the xbox 360 , playing Black ops on the map covey and other maps like Berlin wall, and would be thinking. Man , these were real places or real events that took place and it really just transported me to that time period. I absolutely loved it, especially when I was just playing with some of the guys, and we would just talk about whatever was going on in our lives. Just real chilling. Thinking about history and these wars got me thinking about perspective and how far we've come from all this and how thankful not to have to go through those times. But still interesting to learn about. I learned about the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Tet Offensive just from Black ops. I'm happy that BO6 is doing the 1990s. I just hope that sometimes soon they do the korean war and ww1. They've never done those wars and I think Treyarch is the one to do it. Always loved their historical take on things.

I've been saying this for years and theres no way they would ever do it but i think the league should do a draft every year. Each team gets 1 franchise player to keep every year and then theres a draft every november. It would make things fresh every year, fix the top heavy issues, and promote trades. It would probably be bad for salaries and branding, but It would be great content
